Open House Skin – Appointment & Clinic Policies (2026)
These policies exist to ensure fairness, respect, and a safe, inclusive environment for both clients and clinician. By booking an appointment with Open House Skin, you agree to the following terms.
Securing Your Appointment
All appointments are secured with a $50 booking deposit.
The deposit is deducted from the total cost of your service on the day of treatment.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or reschedule.
Cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of the appointment will result in forfeiture of the $50 deposit, which is retained as a cancellation fee.
Cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice will have the deposit carried forward to a future booking.
Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that unexpected situations can arise. In cases of genuine illness, emergency, or extenuating circumstances, exceptions may be considered at the discretion of the business. Documentation may be requested.
Suitability for Treatment on the Day
If a treatment is booked and secured with a deposit and, upon consultation, the client is deemed not suitable to proceed safely with the booked treatment:
An alternative service will be recommended where appropriate.
The booking deposit will be deducted from the cost of the alternative service.
If the client chooses not to proceed with any service, the deposit will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.
This policy reflects the time reserved and professional assessment provided.
Late Arrival Policy
Please arrive on time to ensure your treatment can be delivered safely and in full.
Arrivals up to 15 minutes late may result in a shortened appointment, while still being charged at the original booking price.
If the late start is due to the business, your appointment duration will be honoured where possible.
Arrivals Over 15 Minutes Late
Arriving more than 15 minutes into your appointment may mean the treatment can no longer proceed safely or effectively, particularly for new clients requiring consultation and imaging.
In these cases, the appointment will be classed as a late cancellation:
the deposit will be forfeited
the appointment will need to be rebooked with a new deposit
No-Show Policy
Missed appointments without notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
After three no-shows, all future appointments will require payment in full upfront.
For appointments included in a package, a no-show will result in forfeiture of the relevant package credit.
Packages & Prepaid Services
All package appointments are subject to the same cancellation, late arrival, and no-show policies.
Missed package appointments without notice will be deducted from the package balance.
Consultation Requirements
All new clients must undergo a consultation and skin analysis prior to receiving any treatment.
This ensures safety, suitability, and appropriate treatment planning.
Treatment Safety Policies
To protect client safety and treatment outcomes:
No chemical peels or skin needling may be performed if waxing, threading, laser, or other peels have been undertaken within the previous 7 days.
Advanced treatments such as Level 2 peels and skin needling may require appropriate skin preparation using prescribed homecare products. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Treatment suitability is always determined on the day, following consultation.
Inclusivity & Zero-Tolerance Policy
Open House Skin is a safe, inclusive space.
Racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, or ableism will not be tolerated.
Clients engaging in this behaviour will be asked to stop immediately.
If the behaviour continues, clients may be asked to leave the premises.
This may result in cessation of treatment and forfeiture of deposits or package credits.
Final Note
These policies allow us to provide high-quality, respectful, and safe care while protecting clinician time and ensuring fairness for all clients. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
